Detect Steve
Summary of the game
Welcome to Detect Steve! A 2D aerial combat/survival game with an enigmatic twist. You play as a detective who finds himself trapped in a parallel universe due to his passage through a strange door in a museum. You will have to fight multiple monsters and progress through multiple rooms the Binding of Isaac style to win the game. But you will also have to face a big dilemma: other people are stuck in this world like you.

Will you make it out alive? Will you choose the path of self-help or selfishness? And above all, will you be able to live with the consequences of your actions?

My contribution
In this game, I took care of making the "collectables" of life potions, the dialogue system, the integration of the sounds of the game, the UI of the hearts which is updated with the potions and the creation of another type of "collectable" which grants an extra life when collected. I also made the system of choice which gives the possibility of treating or not the wounded person. If the player heals the person, then he loses a life potion, but he gains an attack point. On the other hand, if the player does not help the person, he keeps his life potion, but he does not have more attack points. It was also me who had the idea for this mechanic when brainstorming our game. Also, I also made the text that appears as a "pop-up" (a bit like a kind of notification) in top right of the screenshot below to let the player know they got an attack bonus.
